The Bay Area Discovery Museum offers free admission on the first Wednesday of every month, and there are several other deals and discounts, including a coupon for a free child admission.

Hours:
Tuesday - Friday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed Mondays, except when noted.

The Museum is closed on Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day and the last two weeks of September.

Great place to take little kids. You get a nice scenic view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the museum. Best part, parking is free.
